Program Manager Purpose:

Leadership Stark County is seeking a dynamic Program Manager to design, deliver, and support innovative programs that strengthen both Leadership Stark County and the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce. This role is ideal for someone passionate about leadership development, community engagement, and creating opportunities that inspire growth and connection. Working closely with the Executive Director and program committees, the Program Manager will bring vision, energy, and attention to detail to both established initiatives and new opportunities.

Specific Roles and Responsibilities for Program Manager:

This position will oversee the Spotlight Programs and ystark! initiatives — including Sunrise Sessions, Impact Groups, and YP Meetups — while also contributing to our two annual conferences and the signature Twenty Under 40! recognition. Beyond these established programs, the role will be instrumental in launching and implementing new opportunities, such as the Foundations of Leadership program, which helps young professionals build essential soft skills, and a Young Professional Development Membership designed to foster growth through mentoring and mastermind groups within a membership-based format.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Leadership: Research, design, and implement both new and existing programs in partnership with the Executive Director.
  • Event Management: Oversee planning and execution of Spotlight and ystark! programs, while supporting the Emerging Leaders Conference, Leadership Conference, and Twenty Under 40!
  • Facilitation: Foster an engaging environment on program days by asking thoughtful questions, facilitating discussions, and leading impactful activities.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Coordinate with participants, volunteers, and speakers to ensure successful program delivery.
  • Program Evaluation: Track participation, gather feedback, and assess program effectiveness to inform continuous improvement.
  • Operations & Administration: Maintain accurate records, manage program logistics, update databases, and prepare reports.
  • Community Presence: Represent Leadership Stark County and the Canton Regional Chamber at community events, building relationships and promoting programs.
  • Storytelling & Communication: Capture program activities through photography, social media, and recap communications.

Salary Range or Hourly Rate
