The Haines House Underground Railroad Museum, operated by the Alliance Area Preservation Society has been sharing this story for over twenty years to visitors and local residents. Come and participate as a board member of a vital community organization that brings perspective to America's search for social justice—focusing on our area's 170-year heritage of compassion, equality, and concern for others.
Haines House / AAPS Board Member - Expectations and Responsibilities
• Be a dues paying member.
• Attend Board meetings. Meetings held monthly on the fourth Monday, except August and December.
• Promote the efforts, work, and programs of the Haines House Underground Railroad Museum / AAPS to the community and encourage participation, membership, and sponsorships.
• Board member terms are for 3 years with no more than 2 consecutive terms. Members can be re-elected to the Board after a one-year absence.
